Solar system consists of a star, sun, eight planets and all the materials in the system. The solar system has 8 planets namely: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Mercury is the first planet in the solar system; it has no air and it the smallest planet of the solar system. Venus is the second planet in the system. Venus and earth have the same size and mass. Venus has poisonous clouds of carbon dioxide. Earth is the third planet in the solar system. Earth is where the human being lived. It’s the only planet in the solar system that supports life because of its normal surrounding. Mars is the fourth planet. It is the smallest planet in the solar system. Mars has almost no atmosphere. Jupiter is the fifth planet in the solar system. It is the largest planet in our solar system. Jupiter has 63 moons. Saturn is the sixth planet in the solar system, and it is the second largest planet. Saturn has its rings. It has 60 moons. Uranus is the seventh planet, and third of the largest planet in the solar system. Uranus is the first planet to be discovered. It has 27 moons. Neptune is the eighth planet. It is the fourth largest planet in the solar system. Neptune is the second discovered planet. It has 13 moons. And those are the planets of the solar system and Pluto is not a planet any more.

How the Universe Existed
Many scientists studied about the origin of the universe. One of the theories of the origin of the earth is Big Bang Theory. In this theory, the universe expanded rapidly because it was extremely hot. But, the scientist cannot provide evidence regarding to this theory.
Another theory is the creation of theory. We believe that only one person can create a universe and that is God. He is powerful. He made the universe in just seven days. In the beginning the universe was formless, empty, and dark. And then, God began to create the universe. In the first day, God created light and he divided the light from darkness. God called the light as day and he called the darkness as night. And God said “It was beautiful”. In the second day, God created the sky. He separates the water from the sky. In the third day, God created the land and the sea. And on the third day, he also created plants and trees. In the fourth day, he created the sun, moon and the stars to give light in the universe and to separate the day and night. In the fifth day, God created all the living creatures in the sea and he also created all kinds of birds. In the sixth day, God created all kinds of animals. And on the sixth day also, he created man. He called them Adam and Eve. In the seventh day, God finished in creating the universe so, he rested on the seventh day.
That was the two theories on how the universe existed.

Works of coral reefs and mangroves
Coral reefs are composed of mainly of coral and other organic matter of which parts have solidified. Coral reefs are very important because they serve as the home and nursery to many fish and other animals that lived in the ocean. They have a very big role because they serve as the shelter and food for fishes. Coral reefs provide protection for many different species of fish. Without coral reef there are no fishes and other animals lived in the ocean and humans will have no food to eat that can lead to starvation. Without coral reefs, these fish are left homeless with nowhere to live and no where to have their babies. People around the world depend on coral reefs.
Mangrove is a tropical tree that grows beside water and has roots that begin above the ground. Mangroves are extremely important in coastal areas. Mangroves protect shorelines from damaging storm and hurricane winds, waves, and floods. It serves as the nursery and shelter for fish. They also protect people and nature from storms and tsunamis.
Coral reefs and mangroves are abundant in Palawan so we should protect them for us to have a better living. With coral reefs and mangroves the marine creatures will be safe and tourists will visit our country because of its resources.

The Role of Hydrosphere on Earth
Before I illustrate the importance of hydrosphere on earth, I will define first the meaning of hydrosphere. The hydrosphere is often called the "water sphere" as it includes all the earth's water found in oceans, streams, lakes, the soil, groundwater, and in the air. Hydrosphere refers to that portion of Earth that is composed of water. The properties of water: colorless, odorless, tasteless, and universal solvent.
The importance of hydrosphere on earth. It is essential to life, without water humans would die in a week. Human, plants, animals cannot live without water. Everyday we use water in cleaning, washing our clothes everything that uses water. Humans use water in number of ways. We use water in drinking, in cleaning our body. The human body is mostly water. Water has a very big role in our daily lives. Plants need water in order to grow and produce fruits. Animals need water in order to live and so us humans. All the things that come out from the water can be really useful to us. Fishes desperately needs water. Without water all the living things in this world will die in just a week. Water can also be used to generate electricity through hydropower.
These are just a few of the very important functions that water plays on our planet.

The effects of science and technology in our lives

All things in this world have advantage and disadvantages. One of the example is science and technology. It has a big role in our daily life.
The advantage of science and technology is we can invent more things to make our work more easier, enjoyable and productive. We can discover new things that can broaden our knowledge. We can communicate to other people using cellphones and computers. The companies will not hire many employees because of the presence of the machines. With science and technology the people will have a higher standard of living.

That's how science and technology affect our lives.
